Interpretive abstract and landscape sculpture, influenced by contrasts between natural and urban environments and a life shared between the landscapes of Northern Ontario and the province’s southwest. The artist examines the essence of our relationships; to one another, our own make up and our surroundings.
“The essence of my work lies in breaking form into its most basic and necessary lines, revealing the purist of attitudes and emotions of the subject of a sculpture. I’m drawn to the methods of sculpting in metal where harsh industrial processes performed on a cold and rigid medium can yield an air of elegance, softness and beauty.”
