Michaela Devine Altenburg is a photographer, multi-media artist and yoga instructor. She is a graduate of the Bealart program and the Ontario College of Art and Design. She has been running a portrait photography business here in London for the past 12 years in addition to nurturing her own art practice. She is also a core member of the arts collective Public Displays of Art. Her personal work is a combination of B&W analogue (film, darkroom and pinhole) photography manipulation fused with drawing, collage and multi-media applications. Using double exposures, pinhole photography and post printing manipulation she explores figurative movement, landscape and place and fictional imagined environments.
In Michaela’s studio you will find traditional black and white photography prints, collage and multi-media images, handmade books and pinhole cameras as well as the landscape dioramas she photographs.
