Greg Benz creates abstract landscapes and dreamlike resin pieces that utilize non-traditional painting techniques with a unique mix of acrylics and liquid polymers. His work is marked by heavily textured, cracked surfaces, bold patterns and an extraordinary colour story reminiscent of the surface of the Earth or violent collisions in deep space.
Having worked extensively in other media — including digital prints — since graduating from Ontario’s Bealart, Benz has also had a rich career as a DJ and producer of electronica. This creative journey through music and visual art has given him a broad palette from which to create his bold pieces.
Greg most recently has opened his own art gallery (www.thebenzgallery.com) in London, Ontario which represents over 45 artists from all across Canada. It is an exciting new chapter in this creative artist’s career.
