Near the Thames River, not far from downtown, south of the CN Rail tracks is an old out-of-the-way building with an artist studio therein. An interesting exposed brick and bare wood empty space discovered a few years ago. An unusual find and good enough reasons to relocate. Work has benefited in response.
Brian Dirk’s representational paintings are of meadows and fields, orchards and rivers, figures and portraits. Recent pieces consider the necessity of independence and isolation and unavoidable attention. Visitors will see: paintings in oil or acrylic on linen or on panel, works on watercolour paper, and objects comprised of various materials.
