Beth Stewart is a long-time member of the London Artists’ Studio Tour organizing committee. While she is not an artist participant in this year’s tour, she remains tremendously active behind-the-scenes.
Beth is best known for her birds but also draws other small critters. As a backyard-birder, Beth is fascinated by their tenacity and beauty. She captures birds in coloured pencil which she enjoys for its controllability and versatility. Beth also works in graphite to portray items from her collection of natural and man-made objects. Recently she has explored expired bird nests. Her work can be seen on her website, at Museum London’s Muse, and during VisualFringe (May 28 to June 8).
