Susan Garrington
Painter
Susan’s preferred medium is watercolour. Her paintings celebrate the joy to be found in ordinary places. Her paintings are inspired by Southwestern Ontario fields, roadsides, her garden, her home, and her travels in Canada and Europe.
Susan works on location in her sketchbooks, both for the love of it and to gather information to be used in subsequent studio paintings. Susan says, “On location sketches inform and underpin everything I paint.”
Susan’s award winning paintings have been shown in juried shows throughout Southwestern Ontario. She has been juried into international exhibitions such as Open Water, the annual exhibition of watercolours hosted by the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour.
