Collage making is a practice that involves taking materials, usually paper based but not confined to paper, that do not have a relationship to each other and combining the pieces to create a work of art.
I like the hunt for new items to use in my collage creations. The act of pulling together the pieces is a meditative practice .
Inspiration can come from a particular piece of paper, a colour, a landscape( from plien air experiences) , travel photos and visits to interesting places.
My materials: I use tissue paper that I have stained with acrylics, Japanese and Thai papers, store bought papers, vintage items and book pages, found ephemera and anything flat that can be glued down.
