Andrea DeKay makes timeless, well-crafted pottery in rich earthy colours designed for everyday use. All her work is made at Flux Pottery, the warm and welcoming studio she operates in Wortley Village. Andrea believes that everyday objects can, and should be, both functional and beautiful. She strives to create timeless pieces that invite use and enjoyment. Andrea’s commitment to craftsmanship extends to the glazes she has created. Each glaze was meticulously developed through hours of study and experimentation. The rich, harmonious glazes are each beautiful on their own but, when combined, they establish a cohesive style that is truly unique. Through her work, Andrea hopes to inspire a deeper appreciation for the beauty found in the functional—encouraging others to embrace and cherish the everyday.
