Daniel Tamborro

Artist’s bio

City streets, gritty, back alleys, industrial locales and landmarks. These are the urban elements that come to life in Dan Tamborro’s  work. Usually straying from the ordinary, Dan’s painting and mark making techniques play with the challenge of chasing light, as this observation comes out of a balance between his studio and plein air painting practice.  While being versed in many mediums, Dan works mostly in oils as he loves that oils are so forgiving and can translate into so many interesting techniques. He also finds that working with a limited colour palette allows the composition, tones and values to remain key.

Dan’s artistic practice will continue to seek out and explore subjects and themes that capture his interest, laying them on the canvas for others to enjoy.
